Happy Merry Everything Cute One!

Because you've been on the nice, loving, pretty inspiring list - here are some gifts for your ears & heart.

* * * UKULELE JOY * * *

First some Ukulele Joy to share some of our island vibes with you!  It’s a video we did for World Singing Day (mark your calendar for next year’s global event 10/19/19) If you can't see the video below, click this pic.

p.s. yes Kai’s daddy tried to buzz his hair - his barber technique's getting better I’m happy to say ;-)

* * * RELIEF for the HUSTLE & BUSTLE of the season * * *

Locals in Hawaii are such generous people and give gifts literally to everyone! That meant the kids & I were buying/making/packing goodies & gifts for 40 or so of their classmates, teachers & coaches (not including friends & family).  So yes holiday hustle was in full throttle!

I’m sure your plate is just as full & prolly more. I definitely needed to be conscious about being present, being in my yummy center, remembering what all this “doing” is for and doing it in the spirit of Christmas.  As I practiced for upcoming performances & sent songs for friends requesting them for their holiday talks & presentations, I realized the gift that songs have to shift our mood, bring us back to center and truly put us in the mood for a high-vibing holiday!

----> Hope this playlist can help do the same for you!

Feel free to forward this playlist and you can even gift these songs to friends to help set the mood for wonder! They'll get 5 beautiful songs (More Than a Season, Silent Night, Power of Now, Peace Today & I Will Surrender), 3 videos, lyrics and a special greeting via email.

Just go to www.paypal.me/faithrivera & send what feels good (maybe $5-$10 would be nice) and add your loved ones email + any special note to them for the holidays or new year. Then we'll cc you when we email them the download link. It's that easy, affordable & quick!

* * * SNEAK PEEK * * *
Excited to share new song RISE soon & I'll be throwing a watching party ;-)  Be on the lookout for an invite...yay!  2019 is your year, our year - baby!!!

Here's a recent live performance of RISE filmed by my hubby.  I think you can hear my lil' girl Izzy in the background.

* * * LOSS & LIGHT during the holidays * * *

Winter’s solstice is the shortest day & the longest night, but they said it was brighter than usual…maybe cuz of your open heart, your shiny dreams, your warm wishes for the world!  Yes I’m corny & cheesy like that and I totally believe it’s this kind of not-normal, not-based-in-reality perspective that helps us to experience all that is bright even in the seeming darkness of things.  Things like recent passings for many close friends, including the passing of a dear friend of mine Rev Deb Knowles from Unity of Kona

I get to be with them Jan 6th after her celebration of life and share some message of comfort on our immense loss.  There is no way to sugar-coat the physical loss of a loved one, but I think there is a way to be with the grief & still shift our focus to highlight the brilliance of these loved ones, share the best of who they are, take the best of their impact on us, and practice feeling their different, non-material presence that is still with us.

See my brave, beautiful, brilliant friend, Rev. James Mellon, deliver a talk just days after his sweet 19 year old daughter suddenly passed away.  Talk about being the light, finding the light, commiting to know the light through such a dark, heart-breaking time.  This is when faith becomes knowing through the tears & brokeness. LOVE ONLY as James always says!  Holy Wow!

Mahalo for being a special part of my life & music adventures!  It wouldn't be the same without you.

Hoping your heart is full this Christmas & holiday season.  Feel my hugs!  And "talk" again soon....

In love & holiday magic,
